Q: I‘m interested in seeing the venue in person. Do you offer tours?
Yes! We are happy to offer tours by appointment during our normal business hours (as well as select weekends, depending on our event schedule). Please send an email to email@example.com or call the sales office at 843-588-6468 to schedule a visit.
Q: Can I host a ceremony rehearsal?
A ceremony rehearsal is not included but can be hosted the day prior to your wedding. All rehearsal times are subject to other events being hosted at the venue and must be scheduled with the sales office.
Q: Do you allow decorations?
Yes! We welcome decorations such as flowers, candles and lighting. If you choose to use candles, we require that they are enclosed in glass containers with at least 1-inch above the flame to prevent damage to our surfaces and your linens. We do not allow anything to be applied to the walls or building that will cause damage (nails, tacks, staples, tape, etc.).
Q: Who is responsible for setting up + breaking down?
Our team will set up in-house rental according to your specific floor plan prior to your arrival. Our team will also break down these items at the end of the event. The reception venue will be unlocked 3 hours prior to the event start time. Your group, as well as third-party vendors (florist, entertainment, baker, etc.) may arrive + begin setting up decor, personal items, etc. at this time. Breakdown + removal of any items brought onsite should be completed within 1 hour of the event end time.
Q: Do you offer coordination services?
Unfortunately, no. The Hotel does not offer planning, coordination, decoration, photography or music services.
Q: Do you provide catering services?
We do! In-house catering is actually required for all food and beverage, with the exception of specialty wedding desserts. Specialty wedding desserts may be brought in by a third-party vendor and is subject to a cake-cutting fee.
Q: May we provide our own alcohol?
Unfortunately, no. All alcohol must be served by Tides.
Q: Can I get ready on-site?
Yes! You may reserve a hotel room to utilize as a bridal suite.
Q: What if it rains?
Tides will always provide a backup space in the case of inclement weather. Please inquire to discuss specific requirements, options + pricing.
Q: How do I secure my date?
A signed contract and deposit will confirm your date and venue at Tides. Payments can be made by credit card, debit card, checks, or online bank transfer. Checks should be made out to Tides Folly Beach.
